     Jodie Ford

I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years in varying roles including high end Sydney restaurants, wine wholesale, and most recently cooking for and/or serving clients onboard their yachts or in their homes.
My career started in local restaurants and hotels where I developed a taste of the industry and a drive to know more about fine dining and the service required. Moving to work at Rockpool Sydney, Quay Restaurant and Guillaume at Bennelong where I wrote the initial wine list, inspired my passion for food, wine, and the pairing of great wines with great menus. Having developed a passion for family owned wineries, I moved into wine wholesale where I worked for Nugan Estate, Tyrrells and Oatley wines (now Robert Oatley vineyards). Continuing on to work with family owned wineries, I started a wine wholesale business in 2009, focused on bringing small family owned wineries to the on premise market via my national preferred supplier contract with Accor hotels. I’ve worked with many Australian wineries over the years, and have had a long lasting relationship with Indigo Vineyard from Beechworth, Victoria. 
Recently I’ve been combining the wine wholesale with hospitality by way of providing waiter service, wine service, cooking including the planning of menus and sourcing of fresh sustainable produce, growing my own fruit, vegetables and flowers, and hosting virtual wine tastings.
